Putnam International Trailway is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and highly respected Senior Racing Consultant to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to enhance our racing operations. The ideal candidate will bring decades of industry experience, a deep understanding of race management, and a proven track record of success at the highest levels of motorsports.
Advise Putnam International Trailway Front Office executives on strategic business decisions to enhance the track’s competitive and commercial success.
Provide expert recommendations to the Competition Committee regarding rule modifications, race format changes, and event regulations.
Represent Putnam International Trailway at media events, industry conferences, and public engagements.
Offer technical guidance to drivers, assisting with vehicle setup, performance optimization, and race strategy.
Develop and implement a Driver Training Program to mentor aspiring race car drivers and cultivate future talent.
Prior experience working with track operations, sanctioning bodies, or racing organizations.
Strong media presence and experience conducting interviews or representing organizations at industry events.
Proven ability to mentor and develop emerging talent in the racing community.
30+ years of experience in the racing industry, with a strong background in competition, team management, and technical consulting.
At least two (2) driver championships in a premier national racing series, demonstrating a high level of expertise and success in motorsports.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex racing concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Three (3) letters of recommendation from executives within a national racing series, attesting to the candidate’s credibility, expertise, and leadership in the industry.
We are seeking an engaging and charismatic Pit Lane Reporter to provide live coverage, interview drivers and crew members, and deliver insightful race commentary. This role requires strong on-camera presence, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to connect with both competitors and fans.
Conduct pre- and post-race interviews with drivers, team members, and officials.
Deliver live race updates and insights to enhance audience engagement.
Work closely with the event team to ensure smooth broadcast and reporting operations.
Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the Putnam International Trailway brand.
Previous work in sports reporting, particularly in motorsports.
On-camera or live event hosting experience.
Strong social media presence or experience with digital content creation is a plus.
Experience in journalism, broadcasting, or a related field preferred.
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to conduct live interviews with confidence.
A professional and engaging on-camera presence.
In-depth knowledge of motorsports or a willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
