PUTNAM COUNTY, OHIO - The heart of Ohio's racing scene, Putnam International Trailway, affectionately dubbed "Putnam County's fastest 1/8th mile," has revved its engines and announced a 2024 race season schedule that promises to deliver more thrills than anything found at the county fair.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines and mark your calendars! Putnam International Trailway, the crown jewel of Ohio dirt track racing, has just dropped the green flag on this year's lineup of events that are sure to have fans clinging to the edge of their truck beds.

The season opener, known as "The Million," will see racers hit the dirt on April 27th. With a name that suggests the winnings could rival a lottery jackpot, competitors are expected to bring their A-game, B-game, and possibly even their C-game to secure victory.

"The Battle of the Cranberry" takes place May 4th. This apparent tip of the hat to the American Civil War has us all wondering what's in store for the new race theme.

Beer aficionados and racing enthusiasts alike will find common ground at the "Old Milwaukee 30" on June 15th. This event promises to combine the rich aroma of barley and hops with the intoxicating scent of dirt and rubber —a blend that is surprisingly not yet a cologne.

Next up, the "Summer Sizzler on 7-L" on July 27th offers a race so intense that the local fire department has been put on standby—not for safety, but because they simply don't want to miss out on the action. Winning the Summer Sizzler is akin to being crowned the king of dirt—a title that carries with it not the glory of gold but the weight of mud.

The grand finale, "Meyer Invitational," will take place on September 14th. This exclusive event is more than just a race; it's a social gathering where the elite of dirt track racing come to see and be seen.

PIT's race season is more than just a series of events; it's a cultural phenomenon that brings together the community and creates local legends. As the track prepares for the upcoming festivities, the excitement in Putnam County is palpable, with local businesses already preparing for the influx of fans by stocking up on earplugs, sunscreen, and those little checkered flags everyone seems to love.

So, gear up for a season of heart-pumping, adrenaline-fueled dirt track action that's sure to make the history books. Whether you're a die-hard racing fan or just someone looking for an excuse to drink beer and yell obnoxiously, the Putnam International Trailway's 2024 race season is the place to be.
