PANDORA, Oh. — Former Putnam International Trailway track champion and race car 89 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera (formerly know as “38 F-Bomb”) has passed away. Track Owner and Director of Operations Drew Meyer was there for her final moments.

Born in November 1989, the Olds Cutlass served the public diligently for nearly 28 years before being purchased by PIT driver Derek Diller in May 2017 and became an inaugural PIT member. After performing several performance upgrades, Derek and the Cutlass were involved in a devastating collision with a woods. A recovery was far from a guarantee, but just a month later they captured a 1st place finish in the inaugural running of the Taco Bell 200, and later went on to win the 2017 track championship. In 2018 the reigns were handed over to local driver Todd Gerdeman (#420) with Derek serving as team owner. The 38 F-Bomb collected 2 career wins and 3 pole positions over a stellar 8 race career. Having run every race in the existence of Putnam International Trailway, we salute the “F-Bomb”.

A memorial service is planned during the 2019 Taco Bell 200 at Putnam International Trailway on Saturday, May 4th. Everyone who enjoyed the racing she provided may attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
